Nutrition and Metabolism

  1. About the Program

Our program covers the learning of the etiopathogenesis, prevention and treatment of cardiometabolic diseases including atherosclerosis, hypertension and diabetes. The program includes the latest data on etiopathogenesis, important studies on the subject done until today, current guidelines, prospective research topics and the use of technology. Medical ethics, scientific research methods and the use of databases lessons in the curriculum aims to provide the background for self-improvement in this branch.

  1. Employment Opportunities:

Because of the raising rate of cardiovascular disease, due to the epidemic of diabetes and obesity; in the struggle against this, the need for physicians who have received special training on these issues has increased and is gradually increasing. The Ministry of Health, YOK* and TUBITAK** have identified these issues as priority areas. Graduates of the Nutrition and Metabolism Doctorate Program will be individuals who have the qualifications required for employment in the Ministry, Educational Institutions and Public and Private Institutions providing Health Services as researchers and practitioners in the prevention and treatment of these diseases.
