Management

1) About the Program

The foremost objective of Management Master Program is to upbring managers and entrepreneurs, who can follow scientific developments and innovations regarding their fields, are able to apply contemporary methods and techniques in business life, possess high social sensitivity and act in accordance with ethical principles. In this vein, students will be provided with all the fundamental and current knowledge, while preparing them to think and act as managers in their current and probable working lives. Furthermore, it is also aimed to provide contemporary knowledge and abilities that participants, who do not wish to pursue an academic career, could utilize in their existing career path or career plans.

2) Admission Requirements

Students, who are to be accepted to the program held in Turkish, are NOT required to fulfill ALES and foreign proficiency exam requirements. Candidates, who hold an undergraduate degree, can apply to the program.

3) Program Outcomes

  1. Have the fundamental and up-to-date knowledge on relevant management disciplines,
  2. Approach critically to knowledge and abilities provided, through evaluating them within the framework of theories and concepts learned,
  3. Have knowledge regarding the relationships and interactions between business operations and economic system, and be able to comment on the probable effects of those operations on economic system,
  4. Be aware of the interactions among management disciplines, and be able to foresee probable results of business decisions,
  5. Be able to detect problems in organizational decision making and implementation processes, and be able to produce innovative scientific approaches to these problems,
  6. Comprehend the importance of adopting to environmental changes, and be able to reflect this understanding to decision making processes,
  7. Be able to prepare performance reports to be presented to the executives by analyzing and evaluating business operations through existing data, and/or making observations and measurements,
  8. Be able to develop research and investment projects and then, technically and economically evaluate them,
  9. Be able to integrate relevant managerial theories with practice,
  10. Have consciousness about acting in accordance with vocational and general ethical rules.

6) Graduation Requirements

Students, who have been admitted to the program, are required to complete courses that worth 30 credits. In this program, which normally takes 3 semesters to complete, students are expected to successfully complete the courses and term project within the first two semesters. Students, who do not fulfill these requirements, pay tuition fee for courses and/or term project for the third semester. Students, who cannot successfully complete their courses and term project within three semesters, are exmatriculated.

7) Employment Opportunities

Graduates of the program can work as middle or high level managers in public and private sector organizations related to such departments as finance, auditing, quality assurance, marketing, public and customer relations, and human resources.
