“Maritime Nation, Maritime Country Idea / Project Competition” was held by the Istanbul and Marmara, Aegean, Mediterranean, Black Sea Regions' Chamber of Shipping (İMEAK-DTO), also shortly known as the Chamber of Shipping, in order to develop R&D and innovation culture, to contribute to high value-added production and export targets with new marine technologies.
Our student, Shipbuilding and Marine Machinery Engineer, İsmail ERGUN, whose thesis advisors are Prof. Dr. Emine Can from the Occupational Health and Safety Graduate Program at our Institute and Asst. Prof. Dr. Hasan Ölmez from Karadeniz Technical University, Surmene Marine Sciences Faculty, Marine Engineering Department, was awarded the honorable mention.
The final presentation and evaluation conference of the projects organized by IMEAK DTO was held on 29.06.2020, and the award ceremony was held on 02.07.2020 in the congress hall of Piri Reis University in Istanbul, and our Institute student İsmail ERGUN received the award on behalf of the research group.
