STEP 1: After preparing the completed thesis in accordance with the Institute's thesis writing guide, the student sends it to the advisor.
STEP 2: The advisor, with the password received from the Department of Library and Documentation scans the thesis similarity rate and get an ethical plagiarism report by logging into a program such as Turnitin. The advisor signs the Master's Thesis Submission and Jury Suggestion Form on EBYS and puts the ethical plagiarism report on the attachment, and the form is sent to the Institute after the approval of the Head of the Department. (The Master Thesis Submission and Jury Suggestion Form will be filled through EBYS)
The thesis examination jury of the student is determined by EYK (Institute Board) with the recommendation of the Department.
Approximately one month before the defense exam, the student sends the thesis sample to the appointed jury members for examination.
STEP 3: Jury reports and exam report are delivered to the Institute by the advisor within three days following the thesis exam. (Click for Master Thesis Defense Exam Report Form and Master Thesis Exam Evaluation Form)
STEP 4: The student who is successful in the thesis exam, provided that the other conditions (credit and grade point average) are met, can submit two bound copies of the master's thesis (with the signatures of the advisor and the jury members) and two electronically recorded copies (unsigned PDF and Word files) to the Institute within one month at the latest from the date of the thesis defense exam. The Institute Board decides on the graduation of the student whose thesis is found appropriate upon control and with signature of the advisor in terms of thesis writing guide.
STEP 5: The student whose thesis is rejected can continue the thesis work with a new subject and advisor with his/her own request, the proposal of the department and the approval of EYK (Institute Board).
The student whose thesis is decided to be corrected defends the thesis again in front of the jury, making the required corrections within 3 months at the latest.
STEP 6: By filling out the thesis data entry form on the YÖK page https://tez.yok.gov.tr/UlusalTezMerkezi/ the student submits the form to the Institute for graduation.
* In the first submission of the thesis and after the thesis defense, the Ethical Plagiarism Report must be submitted. In order to receive an Ethical Plagiarism Report, the student's advisor will request a password from the Library and Documentation Department of our University. The report can be taken with the password to be obtained. In the Ethical Plagiarism Report, the similarity rate should not exceed 20% except for quotations, 20% if quoted, and 40% if included quotations. The responsibility in this matter belongs to the student and his / her advisor.
